We are a community of believers who hope to passionately live out our calling in this life – our hope is in Jesus Christ.  Our identity does not lie in things like ancestry, background, ethnicity, upbringing, or social status…  It is the atoning work of Jesus Christ on the Cross that gives us our true identity.  We are children of God.

We are an evangelical English speaking congregation in an ethnic (First Korean Baptist Church of Raleigh) church.  Our mission is simple: to know Christ Jesus more, and to make Him known to all peoples we encounter and are sent to.

Please pray for our 2016-2017 Missions teams.

In particular, please pray for our year long missionary, Alex Lee, who will be serving as a teacher at Life International School.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you”
1 Peter 1:3-4

LIVING HOPE RALEIGH is the English Ministry of First Korean Baptist Church. Ethnically, we are mostly (about 75%) 2nd-generation (and 1.5 gen) Koreans, but we want people from all ethnicities to feel welcome.  Currently we average around 120 people at our Sunday morning English speaking service (1/2 College/Grad school aged, 1/2 older).  We also have a Youth group of around 70 Middle and High school students, and 90+ kids in our children’s ministry.  Child care for pre-K and babies is provided for Sunday Main service (babies are more than welcome to our service, or in the glass-windowed cry room attached to the sanctuary).

We are contemporary in our worship style (our praise teams rock!) and evangelical in our teaching (engaging; relevant; and, most importantly, based on the Bible).  Our goal is simple: to know Jesus more and to make Him known, that we might have hope in this life (and the next) and be a source and pointer to hope for others.

It does not matter who you are, or where you are coming from, everyone is welcome to join us for our Sunday Services and weekly Bible studies.  Sunday service is followed by a light meal and Bible study.  Friday nights we have some small groups.
